Production Control Manager - Medical Device Plastic Parts

Seeking knowledge and experience working in an injection molding contract manufacturer or similar with medium to high volume transactions and frequent production line changeover activities.
Activities:
Communicates with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery.
Expedites delivery of goods and services to users.
Enforces 100% on-time delivery and 100% on-time, on-budget launches.
Determine root cause of defective or unacceptable goods or services and take corrective action.
Responsible to work with Quality to ensure that all material claims with suppliers are resolved in a reasonable amount of time.
Works with suppliers weekly to ensure on-time shipments, track inventory at outside processors.
Requirements:
B.S. or B.A. from four-year College or University.
Minimum 5 years experience in a production control capacity.
Ability to define and implement business improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of air and sea freight and international logistics.
Must be able to use Excel and write macros.
Experience in purchasing, inventory management and planning, hard-goods product development, and parts procurement.
Excellent starting compensation up to $140,000 with full medical, dental, vision and prescription insurance plans as well as company paid life insurance.
