We are searching for Quality Engineers with 5 plus years of experience who worked in a machining and TS-16949 certified manufacturing operation. The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing inspection plans, control plans and SPC plans for machined components. Strong documentation skills along with experience developing Ppap, control plans, work instructions, PFMEA, process flow diagrams and corrective actions. Knowledge of advanced problem solving tools and ability to identify root causes is needed. Experience preparing 8-D, 5Why and 7 step corrective action forms is preferred. The Quality Engineer will supervise a small group of inspectors and quality technicians in the use of measuring tools and specific inspection techniques and processes. Knowledge of operating CMM equipment, gauges and inspection hand tools is needed. The Quality Engineer will also support the quality management system conducting internal audits, updating procedures and work instructions. Past experience analyzing quality/inspection data to ensure quality standards and specification is a must. The ideal Quality Engineer will have Gd&T, strong metrology skills and experience working in a machining environment. Our client will consider quality engineers with a degree or equivalent experience.
MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of Quality Engineering in a TS-16949 and machined produces manufacturing environment. Past supervision of inspectors or quality technicians is preferred. Experience preparing and implementing SPC, inspection, test and sampling plans is needed. Quality Engineers should have experience preparing Ppap, FMEA, control plans, flow diagrams and work instructions.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
