We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Accounting Manager to join our Manufacturing team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of cost accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis, accounts payable and receivable, tax preparation, payroll management, and financial auditing. This role also involves supervising up to five individuals, providing leadership and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead, manage, and supervise the accounting team of up to five individuals, ensuring accurate and timely financial management.
  • Oversee all aspects of cost accounting, ensuring accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting of manufacturing costs.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, providing critical financial data to senior management for decision-making purposes.
  • Conduct financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Oversee tax preparation, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing, reporting, and tax filing.
  • Conduct financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, providing financial insights and recommendations to support operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulations, ensuring the company's financial practices are up-to-date and compliant.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, accounts payable and receivable, tax preparation, payroll management, and financial auditing.
  • Experience supervising a team, with a demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and motivate.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify financial trends and variances.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and contribute to operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
