A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PROGRAM DIRECTOR As a Program Director at the HACE Kids Club location, you are responsible for the organization, delivery and quality of specific YMCA program operations to the membership and community, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants involved.
You execute strategies to ensure that club members connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
You are careful to act as a role model for the club members at all times! You are friendly and patient as you assist with the enrollment of new club members and facilitate the onboarding of each student and his/her parents into the Y Program.
With enthusiasm, you help implement programs and services that meet community needs by supervising existing program activities, establishing new program activities, and expanding the program within the community as needed.
You assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.
You are also conscientious about keeping records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations.

YMCA of Greater Erie Kids' Club QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PROGRAM DIRECTOR At least 21 years of age Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation management or social services and related field or equivalent experience.
One to two years related experience (e.
g.
, supervisor or coordinator of child care programs) preferred.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
