Summary:
The Tool Crib Attendant is an integral part of the manufacturing process, responsible for effectively managing, organizing, and distributing tools and equipment to support production and maintenance activities.

The Tool Crib Attendant will be accountable for maintaining an accurate inventory of tools, tracking tool utilization, and coordinating tool repairs and replacements as required.
Requirements:
Tool Management:
Maintain the tool crib and ensure proper storage, organization, and inventory control of all tools and equipment.
Tool Distribution:
Assign tools and equipment to authorized personnel while ensuring meticulous record-keeping and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Inventory Control:
Perform regular inventories, monitor stock levels, and reorder tools and equipment as necessary to fulfill production and maintenance requirements.
Tool Maintenance and Repair:
Coordinate the inspection, maintenance, and repair of tools and equipment, liaising with relevant departments or external vendors as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of tool transactions, including issuances, returns, repairs, and replacements.
Generate reports on tool usage, inventory levels, and any inconsistencies.
Tool Calibration:
Coordinate the calibration of measuring instruments and ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with tool suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries and competitive pricing.
Safety and Compliance:
Promote and enforce safety protocols and procedures related to tool usage, storage, and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and efficiency gains within the tool crib operations.
Implement best practices and propose innovative ideas to enhance tool management processes.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to comprehend tool requirements, address tool-related issues, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification is advantageous.
Prior experience in a similar tool crib or inventory management role within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to efficiently manage and track multiple tools and equipment.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining tool records and inventory counts.
Comprehensive knowledge of tools commonly used in a manufacturing setting and their appropriate storage and handling.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer proficiency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and vendors.
